Sax Russell the Green is in real life mild mannered Brandon Bennett. He started reading the Mars Trilogy circa 8th grade and the series influenced much of his views on the world and life throughout high school. The screen name was founded upon when mr_baggins111 became too cliche and was influenced by similar screen names-with-adjectives seen in various Yahoo! chat rooms. Since then Sax Russell the Green has been the identity of choice for Brandon all across the web. Any use of it or is various alternate versions is in all likelyhood his. Every once in a while, Brandon has considered changing the name to Sax Russell the Blue to better reflect the literary Sax's mindset at the end of the series, but Brandon has consistently decided against this for the fact that most people would think he's depressed.
