During the duration of the trip on the Ares, Phillis Boyle was the designated camerawoman, making people reluctant to talk in front of her.
She was also known for her resolute Christian beliefs, which she debated onroute to Mars with John Boone, who proclaimed being faithful was akin to "being hit on the head!"
